Expressive E Noisy 2 Update 2.6: Free MPE Synth Engine Boost
Expressive E has released Noisy 2 Update 2.6, a major free engine update for the MPE-capable physical modeling synth. The 2.6 patch expands the exciter and resonator sections with new synthesis options, giving existing users a substantial feature upgrade without a new purchase.
What’s new in Noisy 2 2.6
The update introduces five new noise exciter types, increasing the total noise options available to trigger resonators. The resonator section grows from five to eleven types, including a new unison resonator for thick, wide sounds, two FM models (FM and FM Feedback), and two harmonic synthesis models (Harmonics and Wave Map). These additions let users blend physical modeling with FM and additive synthesis directly inside Noisy 2.
Expressive E has also improved the way MIDI and MPE motion generate envelope data, offering more expressive control over dynamics and articulation. The update preserves backward compatibility and does not change the plugin’s core architecture or interface layout.

Current owners of Noisy 2 can download Update 2.6 immediately via the Expressive E account page or the in-app updater. The patch is free for all existing customers and does not require a license reset or revalidation. New users must still purchase Noisy 2 to access the update.
